The home is located ten minutes from the picturesque Smoky Mountain community of Maggie Valley, home to a handful of dining and shopping options. Take a scenic drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway (access is four miles down the road), hike mountain trails to see spectacular balds and waterfalls, discover herds of elk in Smoky Mountain National Park, and spend an evening catching a show at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort, just 23 minutes away. For outdoor enthusiasts, this area is true highlands bliss, including everything from fishing in the state designated Heritage Trout Waters area to skiing and snowboarding at Cataloochee Ski Area! This Asheville vacation rental is located in Maggie Valley and is approximately 48 minutes to downtown Asheville, 4,204ft above sea level.

Often the best views in WNC are the hardest to get to. The property you are staying at requires a 4WD or AWD vehicle to access during the winter months due to the hard to navigate roads that may become icy. Please ensure that your vehicle is properly equipped and the 4WD/AWD feature is engaged before attempting to access the property. Vehicles that are not equipped with this feature may incur service charges for towing if they get stuck, or for repairs to the driveway necessitated by a 2WD vehicle spinning for traction. For the extra effort, however, you are rewarded with seclusion, beauty, and a lot of fun just getting there!
• Travel Insurance is Recommended. Due to the location of this home, any inclement weather in winter may render it unreachable. We highly recommend guests consider travelers insurance for this property as there are no refunds for weather.
• Internet Speed. This property is equipped with an internet connection with speeds up to 6 Mbps.
• Seasonal Gas Fireplaces are not operational between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
