We are thrilled to introduce Horse Cove Hollow, a historic gem from 1881 and the second-oldest home in downtown Highlands, NC. This meticulously restored farmhouse is among the most beautifully landscaped properties, featuring majestic boxwoods, the oldest Carolina Hemlock, and views of Satulah Mtn! Horse Cove Hollow offers Frette linens, & Victor Vaissier Toiletries! We have partnered with The Highlands Concierge to provide sublime services and to ensure every stay is 5-stars!

The space

LOCATION:
We are in downtown Highlands, three blocks from Mountainfresh Grocery and across the street from the Biological Nature Center. Sunset Rock is within two minutes of Horse Cove Hollow! Our property offers a manor-like setting with almost one and a half acres of mature hydrangeas, ancient boxwoods, a two-hundred-year-old Carolina Hemlock tree, a professionally landscaped pond, a waterfall, and a private fire pit area! The backyard cascades with historic stone walls, giant rhododendron bushes, and multiple-level grass areas!

Our Horse Cove Hollow has partnered with The Highlands Concierge to give our guests 5-star services with every stay! Services include custom itineraries, dinner reservations, recommendations, housekeeping upgrades, anniversary packages, private chef experiences, tablescapes, in-home spa treatments, helicopter charters & tours, chauffeurs, car-detailing services, family game activities, cooking classes, guided hikes, personalized tours, tailored special occasions, holiday decorations, golf excursions, boat tours, adventure expeditions, floral arrangements, shipping and delivery, stocked fridge before arrival, and luggage assistance. Upon booking, guests will receive more information on how to access these services.

KITCHEN:
We offer stainless steel kitchenware, a Retro Mint Green Drip-Coffee Machine, a Stainless Steel Blender, a Retro Mint Green Toaster, crystalware, and casual glassware, with all the necessary tools a skilled chef has in their kitchen! The gourmet kitchen with gas range, dishwasher, and tile countertops opens up to a peninsula island and great room for perfect entertaining!

GREAT ROOM:
The hollow’s great room exceeds expectations with a large custom stone fireplace, comfortable seating, and expansive views of manicured lawns! The dining table offers six chairs and is off the kitchen.

We offer a king bed with luxurious Frette linens and black-out curtains. A MCM chair with ottoman for reading and a large armoire for all your clothes provides ample space.UPSTAIRS LOFT:
We offer two twin beds with Ballard Designs quilts and plentiful custom pillows to ensure a restful night’s sleep!GROUND LEVEL DECK:
It offers intimate seating with two chairs, a side table, and greenery with an arbor & old growth vines!

Highlands NC Cabin Rental

**Due to being located in downtown Highlands, residential Zone- we must have the primary guest sign an acknowledgment form from the town of Highlands. There will be a framed sign by the front door to showcase your personal concierge’s name and contact information.**Please note: Guests must declare all party members before booking their arrival. Failure to record the number of guests in your party at booking could terminate your reservation without a refund. We appreciate your cooperation!****We recommend trip insurance to protect your investment.**Your security matters. Three exterior security cameras are at the main points of entry to the home. None of the cameras look into interior spaces or sitting areas underneath the covered porches.ACCESSIBILITY – Stairs are required to access different levels of the home.EXCLUSIVE ACCESS – All guests and pets must be reported when booking. Per Airbnb’s policy, correctly reporting the total number of guests and pets can result in immediate cancellation. No refunds will be given to guests who violate this policy.

FAMILY CONSIDERATIONS – This is an excellent place for kids. Property not child-proofed.
Parents will need to provide their own supplies for kids (e.g., high chairs, pack-and-plays, cribs, etc.) and safety equipment that they feel is necessary (e.g., child-proof locks, safety gates, etc.). At this time, we do not offer any related items for infants or toddlers.
