Welcome to Mendocino Redwoods Retreat. Your Personal Sanctuary Amidst Majestic Nature. Nestled in the heart of the Redwoods. Mendocino Redwoods Retreat is a private 16-acre retreat that is a 5-minute drive or a 20-minute walk to the charming town of Mendocino. Our retreat home is more than just a dwelling. It’s a sanctuary that offers a serene escape into nature, seamlessly blending rustic charm with modern upgrades, all within the embrace of the tranquil redwood forest.

About Us:We were resident of the Bay Area prior to moving to Asia full time. We are passionate about the Northern California coast and purchasing a vacation property here was a dream. We rented this property for 2 months in 2022. These two months were magical. We fell in love with both the property as well as the town of Mendocino. The property was not for sale, but it took a year of gentle persuasion to convince the owners to sell. We have made significant upgrades (including a new 1,200 sq. ft. redwood outdoor deck) to make this a warm and welcoming home. As owners, we spend two winter months every year and find ourselves most grounded and connected when we visit. We are passionate and experienced hosts, and our goal is to provide you with the Mendocino experience that we fell in love with.

Mendocino Redwoods Retreat is a distinctive experience, carefully crafted within the embrace of a majestic forest. Our two-story home is a harmonious extension of the natural environment. Large windows flood the space with the beauty of the outdoors, and modern furnishings enhance the experience. The south-facing deck, overlooking the majestic redwoods, provides a breathtaking backdrop for morning or evening relaxation by the gas fireplace. Newly renovated 1,200 sq ft. deck. Enjoy a new 7-8 person hot tub, charcoal BBQ, firepit, covered seating area, and outdoor dining area. It is the perfect spot to unwind under the stars and immerse yourself in the enchanting redwood views.

Our team members are experienced Mendocino residents. Alex is a lifelong Mendocino resident who offers wine tour packages. He is an expert on Anderson Valley wineries and knows each winery intimately.

Clancey is also a lifelong Mendocino resident and offers guided hikes – both on the property as well as the State parks. He is also a mushroom hunting expert and offers guided tours. Mendocino Vacation Rentals

As owners, we find ourselves most grounded and connected when we visit. We are thrilled to share this unique experience with you. Note: Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Guest access

Guest can access all areas and structures except for:
Locked closets in the upstairs bedroom
Abandoned original structure on property (unsafe)
The red barn must only be accessed for garbage disposal bins. Please do not use it for storage or a play area.
