For a sound night’s sleep, there are bedrooms on each of the home’s three levels, including the main level owner suite with an attached bath. The lower level also offers guests walk-out access to enjoy a break in the hammock.

Only a quick drive away from downtown Black Mountain (7 min), Lakey Gap Lodge is perfect for convenience coupled with an authentic mountain experience. Groceries are just down the road (6 min), and outdoor activities are plentiful, including hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway (entrance 16 min. away), and paddling the Swannanoa River, there are two public parks close by, Lake Tomahawk (10 min) and Robert Lake Park (14 min), and both have great kid’s activities.

With easy access to I-40 and I-240, the best area attractions are at your fingertips, including the Biltmore Estate (20 min), and a scenic drive down Highway 9 will take you to Chimney Rock State Park (34 min) and Lake Lure (41 min). It’s also a short, smooth drive to downtown Asheville, offering celebrated culinary and entertainment scenes. While staying at Lakey Gap Lodge, please be mindful of the enforced 20mph speed limit on all neighborhood roads. Guests are required to display a car pass in their vehicle(s) during their stay. The car pass will be available at the lodge upon check-in. Lakey Gap Lodge is located in a quiet neighborhood and has a very low noise tolerance. The home is under a noise ordinance between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.
• Firewood is not provided for guest use. If you plan on using the wood-burning amenities, please purchase wood locally upon arrival.

During the winter months and inclement weather, a 4WD/AWD vehicle is recommended to access this property due to the steep paved driveway.
